SCREEN PRINTING.

The Ultimate Print to Garment Method is here.

Screen printing has been around since Pharoah was a child. It is the ulitmate form of printing as it is a brilliant product at a cheap price for large orders.

What makes  Screen Printing the ideal solution for large print orders?

WHAT IS SCREEN PRINTING?
Screen Printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed. One color is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multicoloured image or design.

ARE THERE ANY BASE COLOURS?
If you are printing on to dark garments, we will need to place a base colour down to stop the ink from sinking in to the garment and losing its colour. This base colour is regarded and charged as an additional colour.

WHEN IS IT BEST TO USE SCREEN PRINTING?
Screen printing is the best option for large orders requiring branding as it is the most cost effective. Screen printing works best on flat fabrics and is a long lasting method of branding.

WHY USE SCREEN PRINTING?
It is cost effective. It is long lasting. It provides true colours.

WHAT FORMAT DOES OUR LOGO NEED TO BE IN FOR SCREEN PRINTING?
A vector art file from Illustrator or CorelDraw (.eps, .ai, .cdr) gives the best results and is much easier for us to work with.
